Voçoroca is the beginning of a visual study in which I move through the world by way of the fissures, cuts, and wounds that emerge within and constitute a body. Here, the wound operates lyrically as an autonomous organ for the production of meaning, affect, and displacement.
The body opens, fragments, and continually remakes itself, like a landscape eroded by experience itself. Through this system of signs and metaphors, I reorganize the nature and life around me, understanding disintegration, chaos, and balance not as opposing states, but as components of a triad that repeatedly germinates new cartographies.
